Introduction || Archers & Sirens

In this forum you'll find all you need to know about these supernatural beings. These ideas are derived from the minds of BleedingLover and myself, so I hope you enjoy. Please post a response here if you have any questions or feel free to PM me.

| Archers |

Archers are agents of Cupid. The God of Love chooses an Archer through the use of his omniscient divinity, enabling him to foresee the human's life before it ends. Most are chosen after having love taken from them, enabling them with the opportunity to bestow love on others. Because of their supernatural state of being they have enhanced speed, agility, strength, precision, and perception—all of which are necessary in order to ensure their charge's survival. {A charge is basically the term used for the human under an Archer's watch.} Unlike Cupid, Archer's do not possess angelic wings. Their 'Cupid form' is determined by the personality of the Archer (i.e. See the Additional Information on Claude and Iyla's character sheet for an example.) The Archers use their powers through touch instead of with a bow and arrow, as classical mythology had depicted Cupid to use. They have, what is referred to as 'influence', which can be used to plant the seed of suggestion within their charge in order to lead them on the right path. They can also entice love at first sight with a simple touch. Upon agreeing to become an Archer, the deal must be sealed with a kiss. It's a symbolic representation of the love bestowed upon a chosen one and it instills that Archer's power within them, making them an immortal being. This power source is referred to as grace and Cupid, being a deity, passes on a bit of his grace with every kiss in order to provide the Archer with the powers necessary to look after a human charge. Archers also have the ability to communicate with other Archers telepathically, as well as act as a conscience for their humans. Once an Archer has successfully found a human their true love, they are given the option to pass on to the Afterlife, but they can also turn it down—though few have. If they fail, they must start over again with a new human, given the option to change their outer appearance in order to remain hidden. If an Archer's powers are found out and a human discovers that they are an immortal being with divine power, they are wiped away from history, slowly disintegrating into ash on the spot.

| Sirens |

Sirens, like the Archers, are supernatural beings. They are chosen either form birth or upon death after living a life of sexual mischief or sin. They become these immortal beings, not through a kiss, but through a blood oath. DesireƩ, the Siren of which all others are born, will cut her palm and they are expected to do the the same, clasping their hands to entice a transference of power from her to your character. This instills them with their power and immortality. Sirens too possess enhanced speed, agility, strength, precision, and perception. Their Siren form is as reflective of their personality as the Cupid form is for Archers. Unlike the Archers, they do not possess telepathic ability. They do, however, possess telekinetic ability and persuasion. Sirens are able to use their persuasion to seduce humans into giving them what they want. If an Siren's powers are found out and a human discovers that they are an immortal being, they are wiped away from history, slowly disintegrating into ash on the spot, destroyed by a visceral flame.
